Joseph “Joe” Vaccaro is President at Railroad Construction Company, Inc. with over 40 years of experience in the heavy and highway construction industry.

His career began serving as a superintendent while working his way through engineering school. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Joe continued to work in the field on the project management teams of general contractors that self-perform their work.

He has steadily progressed through the ranks from Field Engineer to Project Manager constructing projects critical to our infrastructure.

As Chief Estimator, reporting directly to the CEO, Joe is responsible for the overall management of multiple estimating departments, selecting the most suitable projects for the company to pursue, concentrating on jobs that allow us to develop an advantage over the competition.

Beyond this, Joe selects the right estimating team for respective projects, he personally reviews specifications and plans while participating in site visits, he coordinates and leads effective brainstorming meetings for each department and meets personally with key subcontractors/suppliers while analyzing past project bid results.
