Certified Public Accountant

Robert “Bob” Paz, CPA, has been instrumental in developing Railroad Construction Company, Inc. (RCC), from a family owned business to a co-worker owned company or ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan).

Long before Bob joined RCC, he contributed to the company’s success as Managing Partner at SAX LLP, RCC’s outside accounting firm.

In 2018 Bob accepted his current position as CFO and began restructuring the financial organization of the company, facilitating the implementation of a new job cost and accounting system, working hand-in-hand with multiple departments to ensure a more user friendly experience. His assistance in establishing a new banking relationship, expanded the company’s line of credit and increased RCC’s bonding capacity, allowing the company to bid larger projects, more competitively.

Each of these accomplishments aligned RCC appropriately for the successful transition to an ESOP. Giving co-workers a significant stake in the company enhances morale and attitude, translating into improvement in the company’s bottom line, ultimately providing job security and keeping the business in the community.

Bob has helped to improve the company’s Business Plan and Financial Projections as well as assist in steering strategic planning for the future. He is essential to RCC operations. His financial knowledge is an invaluable resource, only matched by his experience.

Native to New Jersey, Bob’s contributions to his home state far surpass the construction industry. He is an avid volunteer, donating his personal dollars, time, knowledge and experience to several non-profit organizations in key positions including:
